Line Skis this week launched the brand new Bacon 122, the big brother of Line’s award-winning Bacon 108 and 115. This special edition freestyle powder ski is being old since Monday, November 27, 2023, for a limited release only.
Line’s athletes wanted a ski that will allow them to float, butter, and stomp in the deepest of deep, so the natural answer was a Bacon 122. This game-changing twin-tip freestyle powder ski features the Bacon Collection’s super powers of thick-cut sidewalls, twin tips and tails, and Bio Resin tech paired with an ample 122mm waist width to cruise through powder, butter down the fall line, land switch off backcountry booters, and have a damn good time doing it!
While the standard Bacon 122 won’t be released until Fall 2024, Line is running a limited edition release of just 100 Bacon 122 with Tom Wallisch graphics from this Monday, November 27, 2023.
Line Skis was founded by Jason Levinthal in 1995 in Levinthalsโ parentsโ garage in Albany, NY. The company originally focused on producing short, twin-tipped skis called โskiboards.โ After showcasing their skiboards at a tradeshow, a Japanese company put in an order for 1,000 skiboards and Line Skis moved into bigger premises in order to fulfil the order. From here on the company has been going gangbusters and was acquired in 1999 by Karhu, which was subsequently acquired by K2. Levinthal left the company in 2013 to start J Skis.
