This fall, Mammoth Mountain, CA will introduce a mega 2,100 vertical-foot zip line, the steepest in North America.ย Mammoth Mega Zip will run from the summit of the mountain down to Main Lodge (check out this video). Riders will travel over a mile on the line and may hit speeds of up to 60 mph!
Riders will have the choice of a seated harness or Superman-style harness, and may also choose to ride side by side with a friend on the parallel cables. The zip line will be broken into two sections.
Alterra Mountain Company, who recently acquired Mammoth Mountain, will be introducing several summer activities such as the Mega Zip, a Via Ferrata climbing route, e-bike access to the bike park, and kids ropes courses, along with various upgrades and improvements to the lodge and other buildings.
Mammoth Mountain is one of 27 iconic destinations offered on the Ikon Pass.
