We can always count on California tech companies coming out with products that make our lives easier, and Mad Jacks, featured above, is no exception. Mad Jacks is catering to those who don’t necessarily want a high performance boot, but are just looking to stay comfortable and happy when they’re on the hill. Ski boots hurt, especially you’re first week in them. If you only have one week a year, that’s all the time.
These are not one of those really expensive ski gadgets that gear heads tote around the mountain. At only $149, I’d say they’re pretty affordable relative to the various other costs associated with skiing.
Bottom line: you’re not going to be shredding moguls like you do in your 130s. If you’re riding with these, you probably don’t shred moguls. But if you are new to skiing and have always been plagued by bruised shins, this may be a nice solution.
They don’t actually exist yet, they are still in tech purgatory, aka Kickstarter. But if you dig, you can give these guys a boost.
