When speaking with CTV News Montreal, Cedric Cédric Essiminy, spokesperson for the Olympic stadium, said that:

“You know, I can’t stress enough how dangerous this is… There are plenty of places where you can go to use your skateboard, your snowboard, your bicycle, whatever activity you’re into at the Olympic Park.”

Essiminy says that the risk of falling and damaging the stadium when riding it makes the stunt in the video “really, really, risky.”

After the video of Arbour snowboarding the stadium got over 30,000 views, people started to question the legality of the act, and Arbour said that he was aware of the illegality but has not heard anything from the police.

Montreal hosted the 1976 Summer Olympics, where Olympic Stadium served as one of the games’ main venues. Here is a photo of the stadium from 1976. Image courtesy of Canadian Press via the Montreal Gazette.
