Marhar Snowboards, a beloved West Michigan snowboard manufacturer, is shutting down operations after 15 years. The Fruitport-based company announced its closure on September 16, and will sell all assets in an online auction scheduled for October 7-8.
Established in 2009, Marhar Snowboards earned a reputation for crafting high-quality, custom snowboards. Owner Nathan Morse expressed his heartfelt gratitude to supporters in a Facebook post, stating, “It’s with a heavy heart that after 15 years, we must bid farewell to Marhar”.

The online auction, hosted by Orbitbid.com, will feature a wide range of items, including:
- Snowboard production equipment
- Wood and metalworking machinery
- Power and hand tools
- Marhar-branded apparel
- Office furnishings
Interested parties can preview items on-site at the Marhar Snowboards facility, located at 5693 Airline Highway in Fruitport, on October 7 from 1-5 p.m. and October 8 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Bidding will close at 6 p.m. on October 8.
