Measurable snow fell on Mammoth Mountain at 9,900 feet, and more is expected across the Sierra Nevada from tonight to tomorrow as low as 8,000 feet.
It’s not quite time to dust off and wax your skis, but it’s enough to get us stoked just thinking about winter.
It is the first snowfall in California in August for over 20 years.
Mammoth Mountain is scheduled to open for the season on November 15, and Palisades Tahoe on November 27.
🎶 Itโs beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎶 ❄️
Too soon?? 😳🤣
We told ya snow could fall at anytime! Currently only small flurries over Donner Summit, but let this be a reminder that winter is just right around the corner, so start getting ready! Roads are wet and slick over Donner Summit, so take it slow!
