Monarch Mountain, CO is hosting its annual, free-to-attend, all-day Telefestivus event Saturday, February 20th, 2021, an event that celebrates the skill and thrill of Telemark skiing.

Telemark equipment is a type of downhill skiing equipment where the skierโ€™s boot heel is not attached to the ski. The sport and the equipment are named after Telemark, Norway, where skiing is said to have originated. Itโ€™s a combination of alpine and Nordic skiing.

The event will feature a variety of events and activities throughout the day, including demos, group tours, and prizes, and is free to anyone with a lift ticket, season pass, or uphill pass.
