Montana Snowpack = 6,600% Of Average Right Now

The National Weather and Climate Center is reporting that some areas of Northwestern Montana are currently sitting on a snowpack (snow water equivalent) of 6,600% of average for todayโ€™s date right now.

That storm that came through Montana in the end of September dropped up to 52โ€ณ of snow in spots (see image below).

The storm this week dropped up to another 12โ€ณ of snow in Montana.

The snow is staying deep because itโ€™s damn cold in Montana lately โ€“ as cold as -8ยบF in West Yellowstone, MT on October 10th, 2019 (see image below).
