DOVER, VT โ Dec. 4, 2024 โ Today, Mount Snow, Vermont, announced Lea Gabrielle Potts as Vice President and General Manager, effective December 19. With more than 25 years of global leadership experience, Lea is poised to lead the resort with a steadfast focus on delivering the Experience of a Lifetime to the team and valued guests.

With more than a decade of service in the U.S. Navy, Lea first served as a U.S. Navy Fighter Pilot, flying combat missions overseas. She rose through the U.S. Navy with roles of increasing leadership responsibility, from Defense Foreign Liaison Officer to Human Intelligence Officer running intelligence missions globally to the Director of a U.S. Navy sensitive intelligence program. Most recently, Lea was the U.S. Special Envoy for Global Engagement at the U.S. Department of State. In this executive director role, she collaborated with NATO and more than 40 foreign nations. She has experience as a national security and foreign relations journalist at various local and national broadcast networks.
While new to the ski industry, Leaโs decades of executive leadership experience, learning agility, ability to develop high-performing leadership teams, and team-first mentality make her well-suited to lead the team at Mount Snow.ย
Lea is a lifelong skier, having learned to ski at sister resort Liberty Mountain in Penn before she was three years old. She is deeply passionate about the outdoors and mountain culture, having savored the opportunity to explore iconic peaks across the Vail Resorts portfolioโfrom Vail Mountain and Breckenridge to the familiar slopes of Mount Snow.

Lea has an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she was a Sloan Fellow, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.ย
