Natural Selection Tour Full Rider List Unveiled

Revelstoke, BC (February 21, 2024)→One the day Mother Nature calls in the March 10-17 competition window, 24 of the world’s best snowboarders will drop into the all-new, natural and naturally enhanced Natural Selection venue on Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s backcountry LIVE for the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke. But first, twelve challenging riders compete head-to-head for a shot at joining the Tour from DUELS will premiere on February 27 on Red Bull TV. The winning DUELS riders will join returning, invited Revelstoke riders and one “Extra Selection” men’s rider chosen by fans.

The six winning riders from DUELS will meet 11 riders returning to the Tour from their performances last season at the 2023 YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke and Alaska: Mikkel Bang, Mikey Ciccarelli, Dustin Craven, Jared Elston, Ben Ferguson, Hailey Langland, Elena Hight, Torstein Horgmo, Blake Paul, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, and Travis Rice. Kimmy Fasani is stepping out this season to take care of her body with inaugural 2021 Natural Selection Tour champion Robin Van Gyn will be dropping in her place.

Another five riders are back on Tour after deferring last season. Mark McMorris, Marion Haerty, and Hana Beaman will return to the Natural Selection Tour, heading straight to Revelstoke after injury deferrals in 2023. Sage Kotsenberg is back on Tour heading straight to Revelstoke following his break last year to work on his film. And finally, Chris Rasman who stepped up at the very last minute in Horgmo’s spot in Alaska last winter received an invite straight to Revelstoke.

For those doing the math, that makes eight women and 15 men set for Revelstoke, with one men’s spot left to fill. The Selection Committee is out snowboarding, so they are handing the final “Extra Selection” over to the fans. Fans will pick from the four men’s DUELS runner-up riders, sending the one rider who they felt should have come out on top, but didn’t in DUELS on to Revelstoke. Voting will run on www.redbull.com/NSTduels from February 27 to March 4, with the winner announced on Natural Selection’s Instagram on March 5.

The invited challenger riders were selected by the Natural Selection Rider Selection Committee. The Committee made up of Pat Bridges, Mary Walsh, Liam Griffin, Ed Leigh, and Matt Barr selects riders based on video footage, contest results (as applicable), and potential to succeed in the Natural Selection format of backcountry freeriding.
