With only weeks until commencement of ski operations, New Zealand is prepping for another rowdy ski season in 2023.
For a lay of the land at Aotearoa, here’s listing of North and South Island ski area opening dates:
North Island:
- Mt. Ruapehu – 24 June
- Whakapapa – 8 July
- Turoa – 9 July
- Manganui – *spun the seats for a sec in May, but shut again for the moment
South Island:
- Porters – 25 June
- Mt. Olympus – 1 August
- Craigieburn / Broken River – “Ides of June”
- Cardrona Ski Resort – 17 June
- Treble Cone – 24 June
- The Remarkables – 17 June
- Coronet Peak – 16 June
- Mt. Hutt – 9 June
- Roundhill – 23 June
- Ohau Snowfields – 24 June
- Mt. Dobson – “Eves of July”
