Itโs true. Thereโs no stopping the 24-year-old 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist and 4-time World Cup Champion, or at least it appears that way looking at her training schedule this summer. Just three weeks ago she posted a YouTube video showing a lengthy list of her daily ski drills, workout routines, and diet.

Now sheโs back with more. This time Shiffrinโs Instagram post shares three exercises/workouts she feels are โsuper effectiveโ in preparing her for enduring those โrace-turn forces.โ
- Bulgarian Split Squats. Shiffrin says, she adds in weight using kettlebells or dumbbells. She says it is โGreat for building a wide range of stability and strength for the mountain.โ
- Kettlebell Swings. She giggles over her own impression, asking if kettlebells really work. Yet Shiffrin readily admits, โโฆthey are super effectiveโฆ these really help me build strength through my posterior chain.โ She particularly likes how it โhelps to stabilize her lower back without overworking it.โ
- Pilates. She uses it for a range of purposes, sometimes as an intense core workout and other times as a recovery-focused session. She confesses, โPilatesโฆ this is just straight up nourishment for the whole bodyโฆ. Itโs been a godsend for me over the last few years.โ
For the ski racing champion, she definitely leaves no stone unturned when it comes to designing workouts that can prepare her for the hill. Check out this amazing video of her using a plyometric machine, called Pneubounder.
Itโs undoubtedly going to be another exciting year to follow this superstar. Because if thereโs one thing sheโs shownโฆ itโs that she and her team have the recipe for a winning formula.
