NOAA had issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the northern Sierra Nevada mountains in California that is calling for 6-12″ of snow above 7,000′ tonight through 4pm Monday.
* WHAT…Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches, except 6 to 12 inches above 7000 feet. The highest snow totals will be near and west of Highway 89.
- NOAA, 12/12/20
California needs it after a 3-week dry period that left snowpacks in California with a 33% of average snowpack to date.
Fingers crossed for more snow in California after this storm!
This looks good for Lake Tahoe ski resorts.
