The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for California.

It’s in effect from 11:00am Today – 11:00am Tuesday morning.

Snow is expected to impact the area throughout that time.

California:

8-12+” of Snow Today – Tuesday Morning

“A Pacific system will bring widespread precipitation today into early Tuesday with mountain travel impacts at pass levels. Locally heavy rain possible this evening over portions of Shasta County.”

Snow levels are expected to hover around 5,500ft, but a few inches of accumulation is possible down to 4,500ft.

The 6-10 day outlook calls for above average temperatures and below average precipitation in California.
