Mount Norquay Banff, AB opened on Saturday 24th October, the earliest the resort has EVER opened in its 95-year history.
With 2-feet of snow in the last week and temperatures cold enough for snowmaking, open day conditions were exceptionally good. The base at the summit was reported as 20″, not bad for October!
The first resort open in Canada, Mt. Norquay Banff has the Cascade Chair and Sundance Carpet operating. As the season progresses, the resort will open its Spirit, Mystic Express and North American chairs and tube park.
Opening day at other Canadian resorts will soon be upon us:

- Lake Louise: November 6
- Whistler: November 26
- Revelstoke: November 27
- Sunshine: November 8
- Fernie: December 5
- Kicking Horse: December 11
