Man Survives 1,000-Foot Fall After Cornice Breaks in Revelstoke, B.C. An Alberta snowmobiler was reportedly fell off a 1,000-foot cliff after a cornice he was standing on broke at 1pm on February 17th, 2014 on Boulder Mountain near Revelstoke, Canada. This is VERY hard to believe, but we are finding multiple media reports saying that he survived a 1,000 foot cliff fall. Revelstoke, BC Opens Entire Mountain on Opening Day Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia opened Saturday, November 29th, offering top-to-bottom runs and what they’re calling “excellent early season conditions”. Operators are reporting a base of 115cm (45 inches), which allowed skiers and riders to access all 5620 ft of vertical on opening weekend.
