[PHOTOS] 1st Powder Day of the Season at Aspen Snowmass, CO, After Storm Dumps 12″ Snow

An overnight storm broughtย significant snowfall across the mountains at Aspen Snowmass, CO, on Tuesday November 29th for the first powder day of the season.

The storm, which comes at the start of theย seasonโ€™s second week, dumped 8 inches on Aspen Mountain and 11 inches at Snowmass.ย The new snow will continue to help mountain operations teams open more terrain in the coming days.

Highlands received a foot of snow in the last 24 hours, a fantasticย preparation for its opening onย December 10. Uphilling at Highlands is closed through Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Buttermilk saw 6 inches overnight, and will welcome skiers and riders on their opening Chocolate Day on December 17.
