Some avalanche concerns slowed down westside crews earlier this week and, despite the blue skies in these pictures, some potentially harsh weather this weekend dumped more snow for them to tackle this week.
Currently, they’re at around milepost 147 on the westside, about 165.5 on the east (for context, the closure gates are at 134 and 178). Still lots and lots of work to do but still within the typical frame of reopening after about 4-6 weeks of work (this is the end of week 2).
