Today, April 9, brought the first snow of the 2024 season to Australian ski resorts. Across the Snowy Mountains, from New South Wales (NSW) to Victoria (VIC), Australian ski resorts saw around 5 centimeters (2 inches) of snow. While it is safe to assume the early season snow wonโt stay on the ground, it is a great sign to get your act together for skiing in the Southern Hemisphere.
With only 60 days to go until the start of the ski season, it is time to get ready for 2024. Thredbo season passes went on sale for the general public today while Epic Australia passes have just seen their latest price increase before the sale finishes in May. Mt Bullerโs Lazy Bird Season Pass sale is on as well, while Selwyn also still has both their Locals and general public season pass on sale for AUD 299 and AUD 529 respectively โ the cheapest season pass in Australia โ with Mount Baw Baw not far behind with AUD 555 for the season pass (Early Bird was only AUD 399 until March 31).
The Australian ski season will kick off on Kingโs Birthday Long Weekend, June 8-10, 2024.
