Keystone Resort, Colorado, has started snowmaking for the upcoming 2024-25 ski season. While the resort has not yet set an official opening day, excitement is in the air as snowmaking teams are ready to make snow at every opportunity around the clock to lay the foundation for opening day.
Keystone is aiming to open at least 2 miles of skiing and snowboarding at the top of the mountain on the Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon trails for opening day.
Keystone is regularly one of the first resorts open in the country, thanks in large part to its fleet of automated, energy-efficient snowmaking equipment, which can take advantage of cold weather windows the moment they open.
