PHOTOS: Owner of Cabin in Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT STILL Digging Out After Friday’s Avalanche

The owner of a cabin in Little Cottonwood Canyon, near Alta Ski Area, is still digging out after an avalanche barreled into his property over the weekend.

In the 15-years Hugh Ferguson has had his cabin, he says he has never faced anything like the damage from Friday’s avalanche, reports KUTV.

“It’s been here 46 years, I believe, somewhere in that range. It’s never been hit before,” Ferguson said. ”It’s been dusted.”

At the time of the avalanche, guests were renting the cabin for the week. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries.
