[PHOTOS] Palisades Tahoe, CA, Reporting 15″ Fresh Snow

In the past 24 hours, Palisades Tahoe, California, has received 15 inches of new snow on the upper mountain, with more on the way.

At the moment, the terrain offerings are the same, but this new snow will definitely help as it aims to expand and get more of the mountain open.

Lift and Terrain Status: Palisades

• First Venture is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm and still has Terrain Park features.
• The Aerial Tram will be open from 10 am – 3 pm Friday through Sunday for sightseeing only.
• The Base to Base Gondola will be open for daily operations from 9 am to 4 pm starting Friday, December 1st.
• The Funitel, Gold Coast, Red Dog, and Resort Chair will open on Saturday for daily operations from 9 am-4 pm. Funitel is download only. No Mountain Run yet!

Lift and Terrain Status: Alpine

• Treeline Cirque is open to mid-station daily from 9 am-4 pm.
• Subway, Meadow, and the Big Carpet will be added to the schedule starting Saturday, December 2nd for daily operations from 9 am-4 pm.

This weekend is the Learn to Ski and Ride Special, which only happens twice a year. This special is $109 and is offered at all adult and kid Mountain Sports Schools. It includes a two-and-a-half-hour beginner lesson, rentals, and a limited beginner lift ticket.
