Salt Lake City’s mountain resorts woke up to a winter wonderland today, marking the first snowfall of the season. Videos from Alta and Snowbird show the peaks blanketed in more than just a light dustingโenough to excite skiers and snowboarders eagerly awaiting the start of the season.
Down in the valley, it feels like the first day of fall. The air is crisp, and temperatures have dipped, making it the perfect time to pull out the sweaters. The cold snap is expected to linger, with highs at Alta predicted to stay in the 40s and 50s throughout the week.
As the first snow settles in, the excitement for ski season is building. With the early snow, it wonโt be long before the lifts start running and winter sports enthusiasts hit the slopes. Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses.
