Stubai Glacier in Austria has been having a great season this year and the goods just keep coming for this resort. The resort now has a snow depth of 5.65 meters (222 inches), up 60 cm (24 inches) from last week. Last week, the resort was leading our top 7 snowiest resorts in Europe list with 5.05 meters (199 inches) of snow depth. The resort received more than 1 meter (40 inches) of snow since then but naturally, this compacted down to a bit less over the course of a week.

The Stubaier Glacier is Austria’s largest glacier skiing area and is known for its excellent freeride terrain, with 14 dedicated freeride runs and an off-piste map. The groomed run from the top at Wildspitz at 3,210 meters down to the base at Mutterberg 1,750 meters is a staggering 10 km (6.25 miles) and provides a nice thigh burner.

The best part is, it’s not too late to visit Stubai. The resort is slated to stay open until May 20, 2024.
