Mount Washington Observatory shared a couple of images yesterday showing that it’s not just the west that is on the brink of winter.
Winter bared its teeth and beauty this morning behind a strong cold front.

Mount Washington, in the heart of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, is notorious for having the โworst weather in the world.โย Many people may wonder how its weather could rival that of places like Antarctica, Mount Everest, or the Sahara Desert. Mount Washington has the second-fastest wind speed ever recorded on Earth, and the fastest wind speed ever recorded by a human at 231 mph (372 kph).
My plane geometry teacher, Wendle Stephenson, was one of the three men at the mountain-top observatory when the highest wind was recorded.
I bet that was terrifying!
