You don’t need to win a $1.6-billion jackpot to be able to afford a ski resort of your own, $1.7-million would be more than enough.ย That is the price that Purden Ski Village, one of the largest resorts in central BC, is on the market for. Just you and a few (okay, quite a few) buddies, throw in your life’s savings, maybe tap-up your baby-boomer parents, and BOOM your very own ski resort!
This family-owned Ski Resort (Purden Ski Village) is ready for turnkey, continued operation.
Established in 1968, the resort is one of the largest in Central B.C., with 3 lifts (2 Mueller double chairlifts and a Mueller T-Bar), a full-service day-lodge with seating, a fireplace, a full-service cafeteria, and a rental shop. The Ski Area has 26 named runs, 1100โฒ (385 meters) vertical.
This Ski Resort was home to three alpine events during the Canada 2015 Winter Games. There is an active Nancy Greene Skier Development Program and Alpine Racer Development Program at the Resort. The Resort also actively accommodates school groups and corporate groups.
The Ski Resort also is home to 50 privately-owned ski cabins. The nearest city is Prince George, B.C. (population approx. 75,000). Prince George is serviced by an international airport, with local flights supplied by Air Canada, WestJet, Central Mountain Air, and Pacific Coastal Airlines.
The Ski Resort overlooks the majestic Purden Lake and is surrounded by stunning views of the McGregor Mountains, a mountain range which lies between the main spine of the Northern Rocky Mountains and the Fraser River.
