The 2025 Freeride World Tour ended in dramatic fashion on the legendary Bec des Rosses in Switzerland, with record-setting runs, rookie breakthroughs, and major titles for North American riders. The tour delivered exactly what freeride fans hoped for: high-stakes descents, bold lines, and leaderboard shakeups on the final stop of the season. Canadaโs WeiTien Ho claimed his first win on tour, topping the Ski Men podium with a powerful, creative line that included a huge backflip and fluid navigation through the steep upper face. His childhood friend Marcus Goguen (CAN) took fourth on the day but did enough to seal the overall Ski Men title.
In a dominant year for Canadian athletes, Justine Dufour-Lapointe added a second Freeride World Tour title in Ski Women, capping a season that confirmed her transition from mogul champion to freeride elite. The only skier to finish ahead of her on the day was Switzerlandโs Jenna Keller, who claimed her first career FWT win in front of a home crowd.
On the U.S. side, Ross Tester (USA) charged into second place in Verbier with one of the most aggressive runs of the day, showcasing fast, controlled skiing and a big 360 to earn his second podium of the season. Rookie Toby Rafford (USA) continued to impress with a third-place finish, wrapping up his first season with a third overall ranking and the 2025 Rookie of the Year title.
โBeing on the podium in Verbier and Rookie of the Yearโitโs surreal,โ said Rafford. โI had some runs I wish Iโd landed, but this season came together in a really special way.โ

In snowboarding, history was made. Victor de Le Rue (FRA) claimed his fourth overall FWT title, tying Marion Haertyโs all-time record and surpassing his older brother Xavierโs three-title benchmark. He did it with a stylish run including a frontside 360 and front flip, enough to secure the championship despite finishing third on the day. Cody Bramwell (GBR) won the event with the highest score of the competition: 92.67, thanks to back-to-back backflips and strong line choices.
On the womenโs side, Noรฉmie Equy (FRA) capped off a perfect rookie season by winning both the Verbier event and the overall Snowboard Women title, taking four of five stops this year. Her fast, aggressive descent through the technical top face included a massive double drop and clean airs, earning her 89.67 and cementing her place as the breakout star of the season.
As the tour wraps its 2025 edition, attention now shifts to the inaugural FIS Freeride World Championships in Andorra next winterโone step closer to freerideโs potential Olympic debut in 2030.
