Report from February 11-12, 2024
A snow refresh in Revelstoke is a game-changer, especially on days nine and ten in a row. We drove back to Revy after a frosty sojourn at Big White because the forecast called for 10-20 centimeters (4-8″) by Monday.
The storm rolled into Revy a little later than we expected. Even with less new snow than anticipated, it was incredible to see a couple of inches massively improving terrain all over the mountain.
As the storm picked up, we thought it would be wise to test our avalanche preparedness. Revy has a beacon farm in the middle of the resort, providing a great way to practice avalanche skills.
Feeling very lucky to have seen multiple storms in Revy this winter, despite the low snow year. Guaranteed we will be back in Revy in 2025.
The latter half of Monday was increasingly clear, signaling the end of a few daysโ precipitation in Revy. Riders can look forward to great visibility in the days to come, but snow may take a week.
We are off to Big White tomorrow to finish 11/11 days in Canada.
