Newry, Maine: Ho, ho, ho! Yesterday the slopes of Sunday River were decorated with 180 jolly Santa’s skiing and riding down the slopes. The spirit of the holiday season known as Santa Sunday is a charity fundraiser held every December at the resort. There were 180 Santa ‘s on hand to help support the 18th annual event which went on to raise close to $3,000 for a local charity.
โThis is the right way to start the holiday season. Itโs so much fun. This whole activity, it moves you back to your childhoodโ
Yelana Walsh, former professional skier from Russia who participated in the event.
