Prior to everything shutting down, last season was really looking up.
A competition in Canada to start it off followed by backcountry pillow lines and a deepening snowpack made for a fantastic start. Then a trip down to Taos, NM for another comp, and soon after I was found on the couch waiting for the call to see whether or not the competition season would be canceled. With my finger on the button to purchase a flight to Washington for the next event, I got word of the cancellation.

So after having two seasons in a row end short for me (injuries and COVID) I couldn’t be more excited for this winter. With snow forecasted for much of the West this week, it seems like the perfect time to get people excited for winter!
