It was beautiful at Sierra today. The day started overcast and windy, then turned to beautiful bluebird and sunny conditions!

We spent the day lapping Grandview, which is, of course, the standard at Sierra. The lift accesses nearly all of the terrain sierra offers, which makes getting to the goods fast and straightforward. We found excellent, fast, grippy groomed conditions right from the get-go today. Castle was especially fun in the morning. Beautifully groomed and so fast!

Great groomed conditions on Castle.

Besides the screaming fast groomed conditions, the parks are really where Sierra is shining on these sunny days. We spent the majority of the afternoon lapping the parks. They are so much fun and extremely creative. The park crew has outdone themselves with the designs of the jumps and features. There are so many ways to hit one particular feature. From hips to bowls, to quarter pipes, it’s a snowy playground!

Sierra also has the only pipe on the south shore, and man is it a blast.

We also had a chance to sample the slushy bump skiing the mountain has to offer. Grandview chair-line, Clipper in the West Bowl, and Dynamite were prime for fun slush-bumps. Sierra really has something for everyone these days.

Another amazing thing about Sierra is that they know how to have fun. There are so many fun events. From concerts to parties to contests. Check out the Events Calendar and make sure to make it to the Sierra Playgrounds Opening Party on March 31st in the Alley Park.

With up to 2 feet of snow in the forecast, Sierra is going to remain one of the best places to ski in the states this winter. It’s not spring just yet!
