Sipapu Ski Resort Opens Tomorrow, November 19th | First Resort in New Mexico Open for Winter 21/22

Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort will be the first ski resort to open in New Mexico as its operations begin for the season Friday, November 19. 

The Vadito resort will open with two beginner runs, Lower Thumper and Lower Bambi, off of Lift 2.

Day tickets and rentals must be purchased ahead online at sipapu.ski and lift tickets start at $9. 

“We have been able to take advantage of cooler night temperatures to make enough snow to open the beginner runs off of the larger of our magic carpets, and hope to open lift 5 with more advanced runs as the weekend progresses.”

  1. It’s New Mexico…as in NEAR Mexico! I have a hard ti.e imagining it as among the better winter destinations for skiing.
