And for ski patroller, Rachael Efta, this is her home.
After making the leap from art school in San Francisco to ski patrolling in Big Sky, Montana, she joined a team of 40 people who open the mountain every day.
From avalanche control to rescue calls, it’s the Big Sky Ski Patrol’s responsibility to make sure everyone is safe on the mountain, every single day.
And she canโt imagine life without it.
