More September snow is in the forecast for the northern Rockies, with a winter weather advisory starting tomorrow for central Montana and the Beartooth Mountains.
Today will be dry, but another system will move in for Thursday night through Saturday. Expect cooler temperatures and widespread showers, with the heaviest period of precipitation being Friday and Friday night.

The mountains will likely pick up accumulating snow above 8 thousand feet. Big Sky Resort, MT could see up to 10″ at higher elevations. Those with outdoor plans late this week, are encouraged to monitor the forecast closely!

of 2 to 6 inches expected above 8000 feet, with up to 9 inches

The Beartooth Mountains could see up to 8-inches, which will more than likely see another closure of Beartooth Pass on the WY/MT border.
