A trough digging into the western U.S. has brought snow to the Colorado mountains, where several accidents have closed sections of Interstate 70 around Vail and Copper Mountain

These are:

  • Between Exit 201: Frisco and Exit 190: Vail Pass Summit (Copper Mountain) from Mile Point 198 to Mile Point 195. Road closed expect delays due to safety concerns.
  • Between Exit 190: Vail Pass Summit and Exit 180: East Vail (3 miles west of Copper Mountain) at Mile Point 188. Road closed expect delays due to a crash.
  • Between Exit 180: East Vail and Exit 190: Vail Pass Summit (Vail) at Mile Point 180. Road closed expect delays due to safety concerns.

No estimated time of reopening was available on Sunday afternoon.
