Huntsville, UT โ€“ March 6, 2025 โ€“ Snowbasin Resort, the No. 1 ranked ski resort in North America, is gearing up for the 2025-26 season with the launch of its season passes and news of upgrades for the coming winter. For a limited time, guests can secure the lowest prices of the year and unlock immediate access to the resort, enjoying free skiing and riding for the remainder of the current season starting Monday. Alongside the pass launch, Snowbasin has announced exciting enhancements to elevate the guest experience, including the introduction of RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology, lift upgrades, and trail improvements.

Starting as early as this summer, the resort will break ground on several projects aimed at increasing accessibility and efficiency across the mountainโ€”all set for completion ahead of the upcoming winter season. These improvements include the installation of RFID technology across lifts. This new system will streamline lift access, reduce wait times and position the resort for future technological advancements. RFID will be integrated into all pass and ticket types, including Snowbasin season passes, day tickets and partner passes such as Mountain Collective and Ikon.

โ€œThis investment represents our ongoing commitment to enhancing the guest experience at Snowbasin,โ€ said Davy Ratchford, General Manager of Snowbasin Resort. โ€œBy implementing this cutting-edge RFID technology, we expect to reduce lift waits by up to 25%, allowing our guests to spend more time on our No. 1 ranked slopes and less time waiting.โ€

Additional lift upgrades and replacements are also planned for this summer. Along with continuing renovations on the Needles Gondola, which will feature refurbished cabins, Snowbasin will upgrade its Becker lift to a high-speed quad, increasing uphill capacity and cutting ride time from 12 minutes to under seven. The upgraded chair will follow a similar path as the previous lift, providing access to key areas around the mountain including Middle Bowl and Strawberry. In conjunction with this lift upgrade, the resort will enhance beginner terrain, by widening trails such as Bear Hollow, Snowshoe and Slow Road. These improvements will increase safety and flow in this convergence zone.

Snowbasin season pass holders will be among the first to benefit from these exciting enhancements. The resort offers several pass options for the 2025-26 season, including:
