Let me start by saying I would come back to Snowbasin in a heartbeat just for the amazing bathrooms and ham and cheese croissants. The amenities at this place are TOP NOTCH. You’d expect a place this nice to be full of green and blue groomers like Northstar… but wait! There’s more!
We wereย blessed with a bluebird spring day a few days after the storm earlier in the week.

The steep north facing aspects were still holding wintery snow. We had two great runs in Lone Tree at 330pm that were still shady and wintery. There were some amazing steep groomers off the John Paul chair that were wide open where you could really lay them over.
The south and west facing aspects got pretty sticky pretty fast as you’d expect in the spring, but we had no shortage of pow into the afternoon on the steep and shady aspects.ย The cirques at the top of the mountain provide a phenomenal backdrop every time you ride the chair up that makes you feel like you’re in the Alps (full disclosure – I’ve never even bee to the Alps, but this is what I expect them to look like). This was definitely the highlight of our Utah trip (so far) and I hope to return one day for a mid-winter mid-week pow day.
