A record-breaking snow year in Utah brings endless Spring skiing fun, and Snowbird is jumping on that train. Snowbird has shifted to a weekend-only (Fridays-Sundays and Holidays) schedule. It has been announced that Snowbird will remain open at least through Memorial Day, an official closing date will be evaluated in May.ย
Thankfully, at minimum, there are a couple more weekends of slushy skiing to be had! The surfy turns are easily accessed by the Aerial Tram, Peruvian Express, and Peruvian Tunnel from 8 am – 2 pm or by Mineral Basin and Baldy Express from 8 am – 1 pm. Regardless of the official closing date, the tram will be closing on May 30th for maintenance, and its opening will be a celebration of the new Aerial Tram Rooftop Balconies on June 17th.ย
What can be better than a long spring full of slush turns and permanently imprinted goggle tans? Well, all of that, plus a terrain park. Luckily, for the first time, Snowbird and Woodward collaborated to build a small to medium-sized terrain park at Snowbird. You can hit these jumps for one more weekend (May 19 – 21), conditions permitting.ย
