On Thursday August 3rd, Colorado saw snowfall on the top of the high mountain Monarch Pass.
Local drivers commented that conditions changed as they drove up the pass and temperatures dropped. Rain turned into freezing rain, turned into pea sized hail, turned into a slush-rain-snow with motorists fishtailing in the icy slush.
