Winter is right around the corner for Taos Ski Valley. The world-class ski area known for its limitless steep terrain and southwestern atmosphere started snowmaking operations this week after receiving significant natural snowfall.

Taos shared in a news release:

“Last night, we took a momentous step in our winter preparations when the snowmaking team fired up the snow guns! With a little help from Mother Nature, our amazing team is now working strategically to produce the perfect base as efficiently as possible. Soon that team, and those guns, will be working 24/7 to ensure those turns were worth the wait!”

Taos has an opening day set for Thanksgiving Day, which will fall on the 24th of November this year. While the resort works to prepare the mountain for opening day, now is the time to think about when to come visit this mystical mountain and save on deals, which are currently being offered by Taos at its lowest price tiers.
