Yep, 9,643-foot Sonora Pass in California closed last night at 2:30am due to snow on the road.ย As of 8am today, the pass was still closed.
A storm came through last night that was forecast to drop up to 6″ of new snow in the southern sierra but we didn’t realize it would snow so much this far north.
Sonora Pass was also closed due to snow for 5 hours from 4am to 9am on Oct. 1st, 2015 and we totally missed it.ย Our bad.
Winter is coming!
