The Andes mountains of South America just went through another large snow cycle. ย The central Andes did the best, again while the southern Andes did get some significant snowfall.
Corralco did the best snow-wise in the south with 12″ of snow in the past 24 hours. ย
Las Lenas did the best in the central region with 31″ this week.
El Colorado in Chile is claiming 280″ of snowfall already this season… ย They’ve been open since June 1st!
The forecast for the rest of the week shows a dusting or two for the central Andes and about 12″ of snow for the southern Andes.

Those totals for Las Lenas are not accurate. There is a second storm that hit yesterday that is not included in the total. It was at least another 2 feet. I am waiting on a couple of friends that live there to give me a report.
