The Andes mountains of South America just went through another large snow cycle. The central Andes did the best, again while the southern Andes did get some significant snowfall.
Corralco did the best snow-wise in the south with 12″ of snow in the past 24 hours.
Las Lenas did the best in the central region with 31″ this week.
El Colorado in Chile is claiming 280″ of snowfall already this season… They’ve been open since June 1st!
The forecast for the rest of the week shows a dusting or two for the central Andes and about 12″ of snow for the southern Andes.

Those totals for Las Lenas are not accurate. There is a second storm that hit yesterday that is not included in the total. It was at least another 2 feet. I am waiting on a couple of friends that live there to give me a report.
