The ‘App Lap Slapdown’ Contest is all part of the new leaderboard function added to the Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows mobile app.

Simply stated, the contest entails:

• All In January 2018

The ‘App Lap Slapdown’ Contest is a friendly competition between skiers/riders to determine who will dominate the Squaw Alpine mobile app leaderboard.

The Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows mobile app is rolling out a new leaderboard function allowing skiers/riders to compete with the entire Squaw Alpine community. This free-to-enter competition, the ‘App Lap Slapdown’, provides weekly opportunities to win. One grand vertical feet champion will win a GoPro Hero 5, along with infinite bragging rights.

First Week’s Winners

To participate, simply download the app and enable leaderboard permissions in the settings menu. The app tracks leaderboard stats for number of days, number of lifts, and total vertical feet descended. The top 25 skiers/riders in each category will be displayed by the app. Data is tracked by the day, week, month, and season.

Most Vertical Feet – 161,432 feet in one week!

‘App Lap Slapdown’ Contest Details

• Download the Squaw Alpine App for iPhone  or  Android 
• Start tracking performance daily in the Squaw Alpine App – during January 2018 (enable leaderboard permissions)
• Log the most vertical feet skied OR most lifts ridden : 2 winners per week
• Winner’s choice – Oakley Goggles or Sunglasses (can only win one pair of Oakley Goggles or Sunglasses during contest)
• Grand Prize Winner: A GoPro Hero 5 to the skier or snowboarder that logs most vertical feet skied by January 31, 2018.
