Originally known as Eagle’s Nest, it is now forever known as McConkeyโs, as a super cool tribute to the Squaw Valley legend. ย McConkey called Eagle’s Nest the perfect training ground for the backcountry big mountain stage.
The High Line on Eagle’s Nest McConkeyโs was measured by Robb Gaffney in his book Squallywood as having a 68.5-degree pitch, one of the steepest in all of North America.
Probably would have popped out of it and ridden out skiing the right bindings. Should have thrown in a ball grab on that mini spread for extra gnar points.
