Thanks to the insane amounts of snow over the last week or so, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows in California announced yesterday that they will be opening more lifts and terrain.
Thanks to Mother Nature and the hard work of our ops teams, the following lifts have been added to the schedule for Friday: Shirley Lake, Big Blue, Gold Coast, Funitel, Mountain Meadow and Bailey’s Beach. Another big storm is in the forecast Friday-Sunday that could bring up to 2 feet of snow with high winds, which will likely impact weekend travel and lifts operations.
With 84″ of snow already this year, multiple feet more on the way, and a base of 43″, early-season at Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is looking pretty sweet right about now.
SQUAW ALPINE IS NOT A THING!
Those lifts are all located at SQUAW VALLEY RESORT, not ALPINE MEADOWS. They may be the same corporation running them, but they are physically different places. No matter who owns them, this will be the case.
