Steamboat, CO Report: Bluebird Skies and Fresh Pow

Report from Tuesday 5th February 2019

The morning brought sunshine, blue skies, and 4 inches of fresh powder overnight. The temperatures were warm at the base with a bit of wind at mid-mountain putting a brief wind-hold on a couple of the lifts.

We spent most of the day exploring the variety of glades Steamboat Resort has to offer. The mountain is fun and playful with plenty of areas to explore.

The afternoon saw a mix of sunshine intermixed with an occasional fast moving snow squall. At times we had whole areas of the mountain seemingly to ourselves and powder stashes to be found all day.

Needless to say, it was a great day on the mountain. 

Noteworthy is the warm and welcoming hospitality of all the staff here. Everyone is full of smiles and ready to help make your day on the mountain more enjoyable.

An added bonus, as we came off the mountain today we were greeted by friendly mountain hosts offering us champagne powder donut holes and free hot chocolate to go with it. 

More snow is expected to arrive overnight. Tomorrow is sure to be a great day of skiing /riding here at Steamboat.
