Most of Us Are Already Halfway Through Summer (Which Means Winter’s Coming!)

If you’re ready for summer to end, you might be halfway there. According to this map by Brian Brettschneider, most of the country has either passed or is at the summer midpoint (defined by monthly temperatures).

Areas of California, specifically along the coast and the southwest have about a week until it’s downhill to fall. Southern and central Texas, as well as southwestern Louisiana, aren’t quite there yet, but it won’t be long before the entire region will be closer to fall.
