Taco Bell Canada is raising the standard of quick mountain dining with its new โ€œSlide Thruโ€ restaurant. The concept is simple. Order at the top of the hill, slide down, and easily pick up and eat a Taco Bell meal of your choice.

The new dining experience aims to promote Taco Bellโ€™s already famous Cheetosยฎ Crunchwrap Slider.  The custom built take-out window on a tubing slope will be operational at Horseshoe Ski Resort in Barrie, Ontario between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m on March 2nd, 2019.

According to Taco Bell Canada, the โ€œSlide Thruโ€ will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The rationale being that,

โ€œThis fan-favorite (Cheetosยฎ Crunchwrap Slider) deserves a celebration thatโ€™s as audacious as the Crunchwrap itself, something wild and unexpected and has never been tried before.โ€

Depending on the success of the event, maybe Slide-Thru dining will become a more permanent staple of Taco Bell Canda. So far, Taco Bell is focused more on its menu than the revolutionary idea that they may have stumbled upon.

Although Taco-Bellโ€™s take-out window will be short-lived at Horseshoe Mountain, there is a market for the concept. Ordering at the top of the ski slope, skiing, and picking up a warm meal for the lift could be a quick and enjoyable way to maximize a ski day. Itโ€™s only a matter of time before the industry catches on.
