Taco Bell Canada is raising the standard of quick mountain dining with its new “Slide Thru” restaurant. The concept is simple. Order at the top of the hill, slide down, and easily pick up and eat a Taco Bell meal of your choice.

The new dining experience aims to promote Taco Bell’s already famous Cheetos® Crunchwrap Slider.  The custom built take-out window on a tubing slope will be operational at Horseshoe Ski Resort in Barrie, Ontario between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m on March 2nd, 2019.

According to Taco Bell Canada, the “Slide Thru” will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The rationale being that,

“This fan-favorite (Cheetos® Crunchwrap Slider) deserves a celebration that’s as audacious as the Crunchwrap itself, something wild and unexpected and has never been tried before.”

Depending on the success of the event, maybe Slide-Thru dining will become a more permanent staple of Taco Bell Canda. So far, Taco Bell is focused more on its menu than the revolutionary idea that they may have stumbled upon.

Although Taco-Bell’s take-out window will be short-lived at Horseshoe Mountain, there is a market for the concept. Ordering at the top of the ski slope, skiing, and picking up a warm meal for the lift could be a quick and enjoyable way to maximize a ski day. It’s only a matter of time before the industry catches on.
