Valle Nevado, Chile Snow Update: No New Snow in 2 Weeks This means either you ski the most recently groomed run possible, or go looking for bits of off piste like lower slopes that aren’t too hacked up and get warm enough to soften, or those snaking drift lines at higher altitudes where the wind packs the snow smooth and chalky. 19-FEET of Snow Forecast for Chile Next 4 Days! Whoa. Valle Nevado ski resort in Chile’s upper mountain is forecast to receive 19-Feet of Snow (232 inches) in the next 4 days according to snow-forecast.com. 19-feet of snow? In 4 days? Are you kidding me? Maybe this El Nino thing really is going to happen this year in South America. Central Chile has been in a drought for the past 7 years. Maybe this will be the year that hugely aids that drought situation and makes the skiing all time. Maybe this will be the year that everyone has been waiting for.
